This application is filed for grant of regular bail in connection with Halsi P.S. Case No. 44 of 2014 registered under section 290 of the Indian Penal Code and 41(A) (F)/47(A) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is recovery of 150 litre foreign liquor and also the petitioner is in custody since 08.02.2023.

Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the period of custody and also the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24216 of 2023(2) dt.15-05-2023 2/2 petitioner has two similar antecedent, this application for regular bail is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail after completing six months in custody and on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional District and Sessions Judge IV-cum-Special Excise Court,1st, Lakhisarai in connection with Halsi P.S. Case No. 44 of 2014. The petitioner will visit Halsi police station on the first Sunday of every month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.
