2. The petitioner has prayed for bail in a case instituted for the offence under Sections 414, 420, 120B, 468, 471, 489-A, 489-B, 489-C, 489-D/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 8, 20(B)(ii)(c) of the N.D.P.S. Act.

3. As per prosecution case, the informant got secret information that near R.S. Hotel, block road, two persons on a scooty with fake currency and narcotics substance are likely to come, on that information the informant along with other police

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.28740 of 2024(3) dt.13-08-2024 2/3 officials reached at that place. It is further alleged that one person apprehended as co-accused Md. Yusuf @ Md. Pappu and on search, total 1.020 kg of Ganja was recovered. The apprehended co-accused disclosed the name of the petitioner that he has also involved in the business of printing counterfeit currency.

4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. He has committed no offence. Petitioner has no concern with the seized articles. No incriminating article has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. On the basis of suspicion, petitioner has been implicated in this case. He is languishing in judicial custody since 03.02.2024.

5. Learned APP for the State has opposed the application for bail and submitted that petitioner is named in the FIR. He submitted that on disclosure made by apprehended coaccused, name of the petitioner has figured in this case and the materials for printing the counterfeit currency were also recovered from the house of the petitioner. He further submitted that petitioner having criminal antecedent. During investigation several witnesses have also supported the prosecution case.

6. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.28740 of 2024(3) dt.13-08-2024 3/3 and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and, as such, his prayer for bail stands rejected.
