The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "A) To issue an appropriate
Patna High Court CWJC No.6204 of 2023(4) dt.09-08-2023 2/3 Writ(s), Direction(s) or Order(s) to the respondent authorities to provide adequate protection and security to life and property of the petitioners particularly the house building of petitioners bearing House No.173, standing on the land being Khata No.
88, Plot No. 1942, on northern portion of the plot of area 3 Kattha 3 Dhurs situated at Mauja Sihouta, Near Rajendra Chowk, Maharajganj Town, Police Station Maharajganj, District - Siwan now under Ward No. 1, Nagar Panchayat - Maharajganj, Siwan so that petitioners may be able to do necessary repair to and enjoy the same without any sort of interference / obstruction from any third party whatsoever including respondent 2nd set.
(B) To issue an appropriate Writ(s), Direction(s) or Order(s) to the respondent authorities to provide adequate protection and security to the life and property of the petitioners particularly with regard to the lands appertaining to Khata No.
88, Plot No. 1942, area 3 Kattha 3 Dhur from northern side and old

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
