The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bind P.S. Case No. 147 of 2019 dated 19.11.2019 instituted for offence under Sections 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is the husband of the deceased and is in custody since 08.12.2019.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21720 of 2020(5) dt.12-10-2020 2/2 him.

However, if there is no substantial progress in the trial in one year, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach the Trial Court for grant of bail.

In that event, the Trial Court would be required to state the reasons for tardy pace of the trial and nonconclusion of the same within the aforesaid period. The petition stands disposed with the aforesaid observation.
