The petitioner submits that he has been levied a fine of Rs.2,74,550/- (Two lakh Seventy Four Thousand Five Hundred and Fifty) by the District Mining Officer, Patna and his vehicle has been seized in connection with Dhanarua P.S. Case No. 484/22 dated 20.08.2022 registered under Sections 379, 411 of the IPC and Section 56 of the Bihar Mines & Minerals Regulation Act.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

Patna High Court CWJC No.6233 of 2025(2) dt.22-04-2025 2/2 petitioner is ready to pay the fine but if this Court considers sympathetically in favour of the petitioner and allow him to deposit it in two or three installments.

4. Learned counsel for the Mines Department has no objection to the said prayer being made by the petitioner.

5. In view of the aforesaid, the petitioner is directed to deposit the fine of Rs.2,74,550/- in three equal instalments within a period of two months from the date of production of this order and after the fine in question has been fully deposited, the vehicle of the petitioner seized in connection with Dhanarua P.S. Case No. 484/22 dated 20.08.2022 shall be released within a week subject to verification of the documents related to vehicle.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this writ application is disposed of.
