This application has been filed on behalf of the petitioners for quashing the order dated 07.02.2022 passed by learned CJM, Darbhanga in Laheria Sarai P.S. Case No. 265 of 2021.

The prosecution case in short is that the daughter of the informant was posted as a programmer in government office at Darbhanga and she got married to Ritesh Dutt. After marriage the petitioners used to torture her by demanding dowry of Rs. 9 lacs and after facing continuous torture of the petitioners the daughter of the informant committed suicide.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24649 of 2022(3) dt.06-07-2023 2/2 This is a case of death of a young promising girl who was in government service also and the allegations against the petitioners are very serious.

In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to quash the case of the petitioners at the stage of cognizance. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioners.
