JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-09-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the State.

The petitioners got Stamp vending license in the year 1985. Subsequently, in the year 2001, they also got deed writing license. In view of Government notification of the year 1982, they have been restrained from doing the trade of deed writing. The petitioners earlier moved this Court and the matter was remitted to District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Nalanda for addressing their grievances. After hearing the parties, the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Nalanda has rejected the case of the petitioners for practicing both Stamp vending and deed

A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondents stating that the petitioners have an alternative remedy of appeal before the Inspector General, Registration. This application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Inspector General, Registration against the order of District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Nalanda dated 04.04.2012, who would dispose of the same within a period of three months from the date of filing of appeal.
