1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That this writ application is being filed on behalf of the petitioner for a direction to the respondents commanding them to consider the application of the petitioner for issuance of Arms License expeditiously in his favour."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif, to consider and dispose off the application filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license in the year, 2018 itself. 3.Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-

Patna High Court CWJC No.5746 of 2024(2) dt.27-06-2024 2/2 State submits that in case the aforesaid application has been filed and is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif, to consider the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
