The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is indecisiveness on the part of the licensing authority, Gopalganj in the matter of grant of license. Earlier license was issued to the father of the petitioner who died on 18.3.2018. After the death of the father of the petitioner, the petitioner submitted application on 18.4.2018 with prayer to grant permission to deposit arms of his father. Another application was submitted for transfer of armed license of his father to this petitioner.

Patna High Court CWJC No.8087 of 2019(2) dt.17-04-2019 2/2 Learned counsel submits that the application is pending at the level of the licensing authority for the last one year and no decision was taken one way or the other. Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the District Magistrate cum Licensing Authority to take final decision on the claim of the petitioner for transfer of armed license in favour of the petitioner in terms of existing rules, if not already decided within a maximum period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
