Petitioner has prayed for grant of anticipatory bail in Marhowrah P.S. Case No. 529 of 2016 registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 307, 427, 379 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The allegation is that he along with others brutally assaulted the informant and two others. Injury reports of the injureds are on record. It has been submitted that on account of land dispute, the occurrence had taken place. There was a case previously pending between them.

Looking to the nature of the allegation and the other materials reflected from the record, I am not inclined to grant the application. Prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Kishore Kumar Mandal, J) Pankaj/- U T
