This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail for offence under Sections 147, 341, 323, 342, 354B, 376, 307 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code and 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The petitioners are relations of co-accused, Hirdai Mandal.
Initially, allegation is against Hirdai Mandal of physical exploitation of the informant on the pretext of marriage. Allegation against the petitioners is that they did not allow the informant to come to their house unless they pay dowry. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that father-in-law has already been allowed bail by a coordinate
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.21515 of 2017 (3) dt.01-07-2017 2/2 Bench of this Court and the allegation against the petitioners is general and omni bus arising out of some dispute between the husband and wife.
Considering the aforesaid fact, the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender, within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Bhawanipur P.S. Case No. 17 of 2017 to the satisfaction of the Subdivisional Judicial Magistrate, Purnea, or successor Court, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
