From the counter affidavit filed on behalf of respondent Nos. 4 and 5 on 01.02.2021, it transpires that a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee was held on 29.12.2020 to consider the petitioner's case for his promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police and he has been fount fit for such promotion.

It appears that in the light of such decision of the Departmental Promotion Committee, the petitioner has lost interest in pursuing the matter.
