The petitioners, who are in custody since 20.05.2020, seek bail in connection with Excise Case No. 103 of 2020 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. It appears that 135.00 litres of liquor has been recovered from a boot of the vehicle of which petitioner No. 1 is stated to be the driver, whereas petitioner No. 2 is stated to be a gratuitous passenger.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioners and their period of custody, they are directed to be released on bail on their furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge-Cum-Special Judge, Excise, Gopalganj in connection with Excise Case No. 103 of 2020.

The application stands allowed.
