What has been challenged in this writ application is the cancellation of the character certificate (Annexure-2) issued by the Superintendent of Police, Bhojpur. Subsequent to the issuance of the report, it was brought to the notice of the Superintendent of Police that the petitioner was facing criminal charge and the trial was pending against him. Having found so, the Superintendent of Police cancelled the said character certificate and also directed for departmental action against the person who recommended for issuance of such certificate. Counsel for the petitioner submits that in the pending trial, the petitioner has been acquitted. If that be the case then, the petitioner be entitled to request afresh for grant of character certificate before the Superintendent of Police or any other
Patna High Court CWJC No.11441 of 2013 (2) dt.19-02-2016 2/2 authority in accordance with law for consideration and appropriate order.
The writ application is disposed of.
