In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Begusarai Town P.S. Case No.659 of 2017, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 302 and 120)B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the F.I.R. the sister-in-law of the informant was married to son of the present petitioner. Earlier, the allegation has been made that they have poured acid on her sisterin-law and under threat and coercion got the case withdrawn and where-after again her sister-in-law was assaulted mercilessly. Allegation has been made that the petitioner and his family members were putting pressure to withdraw the criminal case

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.14543 of 2018 (3) dt.19-04-2018 otherwise she will face dire consequences and ultimately, the husband of the informant has been killed.

Looking to the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.
