The petitioner seeks bail in Taraiya P.S. Case No. 61/2019, instituted for offences under Section(s) 30, 30(a), 38 and 41 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. It is alleged in the written report that total 1150.92 litres of foreign liquor has been recovered from the house of petitioner, hidden in the straw.

Keeping in view the recovery of huge quantity of foreign liquor from the house of petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.

The petitioner will be at liberty to renew the prayer for bail after six months in the event no substantive progress
