2 Husband of the writ petitioner, who is the appellant in this intra-Court appeal, died about 30 years back while in service of the Electricity Board. As his children were minors, the widow agreed that compassionate appointment be given to her brother-in-law being the elder brother of the deceased. He was, thus, appointed on
Patna High Court LPA No.1408 of 2012 dt.20-04-2015 compassion. He also worked for about 30 years and died in harness at the fag end of his career. The widow of the original employee applied for compassionate appointment of her son who has now become major.
3 The learned Single Judge, in our view, rightly rejected the claim and refused to entertain the writ petition as compassionate appointment is not to be a chain of appointments nor a right nor to continue generation after generation. We see no reason to take a different view of the matter.
4 This appeal is devoid of merit and is dismissed accordingly.
