JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 20-04-2015 This application under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing of the first information report in connection with Chauram P.S. Case No. 36 of 2011 registered for the offence punishable under section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code as well as Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act pending in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jehanabad. The allegations made in the first information report do constitute a cognizable offence. In that view of the matter, I do not find any merit in this application.
