JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-01-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- 1(i). For issuance of an appropriate writ/writs or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to make payment of arrears of Revision of salaries dearness allowance, difference of pay in Ist A.C.P. and difference of benefit of 2nd A.C.P. and other amounts total Rs. 621,737.00 to the writ petitioner, a poor sweeper (Safai Mazdoor)

Patna High Court CWJC No.6759 of 2022(2) dt.16-01-2024 2/3 working in the office of Ward No. 48 Bankipur Circle Patna under The Executive Officer, Bankipur Circle. The respondent on 18.8.2021 vide letter no. 1866 after examining and verifying has accorded permission for payment of aforesaid amount Rs. 6,21,737.00.

Even request made to respondent Municipal Corporation on 9.2.2022, the payment has not been made to the petitioner, he is in urgent need of money for marriage of his daughter and treatment of his wife.

(ii). Further for issuance of an appropriate direction to the respondents to make payment of suitable interest on aforesaid delay payment." 2.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Municipal Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation, Patna, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, the petitioner approaches the Municipal Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation, Patna, by filing appropriate representation, within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be disposed off by a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.
