The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1.(i) A certiorari quashing the order dated16.09.1997 vide memo no-1023 passed by Deputy Secretary, Water Resource Department, Bihar Government while the department has stopped his promotion till five years from the due date. The department has stopped three increments and also punishment as Nindan."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks

Patna High Court CWJC No.16493 of 2015(2) dt.14-09-2023 2/2 liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
