Petitioner seeks bail in P.R. No.13 of 2018 / Excise Case No.141 of 2018 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has voluntarily surrendered on 15.03.2019 and since then he is in custody.

It is alleged that 252 litres foreign liquor has been recovered from the vehicle, which was allegedly driven by this petitioner.

It is submitted that one person was arrested and the driver managed to run away. Petitioner has no concern with the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.27585 of 2019(2) dt.29-04-2019 2/2 aforesaid liquor. Vehicle was driven by the driver and the aforesaid liquor belongs to one Sanjay, who was arrested while found sitting in the car.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail is allowed. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Special Judge, Excise, Muzaffarpur, in connection with P.R. No.13 of 2018 / Excise Case No.141 of 2018, subject to the condition that both the bailors shall be close relative of the petitioner. (Sanjay Priya, J) J. Alam/- U T
