The grievance of the petitioners is that their land was acquired along with lands of other persons but they were paid less compensation in comparison to others and to enhance the compensation, they filed representation before the District Land Acquisition Officer, Bhagalpur but up till now, no order was passed on the representation petition.

Patna High Court CWJC No.18021 of 2015 (2) dt.07-03-2017 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in CWJC No. 17477 of 2015, this Court directed the District Land Acquisition Officer, Bhagalpur to dispose of the representation of the petitioner of that case and the case of these petitioners is of similar nature and, therefore, this matter may be disposed of giving direction to respondent no. 9 (District Land Acquisition Officer, Bhagalpur) to dispose of the representation filed on behalf of the petitioners in accordance with law within a certain period of time.

In view of the aforesaid submission, this writ petition stands disposed of giving direction to respondent no. 9 (District Land Acquisition Officer, Bhagalpur) to dispose of the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law within four weeks from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order. However, it is made clear that if the representation filed on behalf of the petitioners is found missing, the petitioners may file fresh representation before the respondent no. 9 within two weeks from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.
