The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Kotwali Barari P.S. Case no. 501 of 2016 registered for the offence under Sections 419, 420 and 120-B for the IPC and Section 10 of the Bihar Conduct of Examination Act. This is a case of impersonation. The petitioner was an examinee and he had to appear at Bachelors of Arts, Part-I, (Political Science) Examination-2016 for which an admit card bearing registration no. 1511370593/15 Roll-Bhag (MM-PNN) no. 116770162 was issued in his name. The informant has alleged that at the time of examination one Manoj Kumar Yadav, S/o Late Bimal Yadav was caught along with the admit card of this petitioner. He was supplied answer book no. 430741. Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.31068 of 2017 (2) dt.11-07-2017 Manoj Kumar Yadav confessed that he had appeared in the examination on behalf of this petitioner and the admit card of this petitioner and answer-sheet were seized from his possession by the Invigilator. Accordingly, the present case was registered against the apprehended accuseds and this petitioner. Considering the allegation of impersonation and cheating in conspiracy with co-accused, I am not inclined grant him anticipatory bail. His prayer of anticipatory bail is, accordingly, rejected.
