The petitioner is in custody in connection with Barari P.S. Case No. 100 of 1999 (S.Tr. No. 452 of 2018) for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 353, 307 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25(1A)(1B), 26(II), 27/35 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after approximately 9 years the petitioner was remanded in the instant case on 25.06.2018 and since then he is in custody. Considering the fact that the case was registered in 1999 and petitioner was remanded in the instant case on 25.06.2018 and he has remained in custody for more than nine months, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released
