The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 376 (AB), 504, 506 of the IPC and section 4/6 of the POCSO Act.

Vide order dated 06.07.2022, a report was called for, regarding the stage of trial. In compliance thereof, a report sent by learned A.D.J.-VI-cum-Special Judge, POCSO Act, Supaul, dated 13.07.2022, is kept at flag 'R', whereby it is submitted that out of seven charge sheet witnesses, two witness have been examined and the time likely to be taken in conclusion of the trial is about three to four months.

Considering the submissions made in the report, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner named above. The prayer for bail is hereby rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
