The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 376, 225, 120(b) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the POCSO Act. There is specific accusation against this petitioner of committing rape upon the victim girl, which fact has also been supported by the victim girl in her statement recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and same is, accordingly, rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) anay/- U T
