JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 10-09-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to make the payment of dues amount amounting to Rs. 2,09,906/- for which bill has been submitted vide letter dated 23.05.2011 as contained in Annexure-4 which has not been paid to the petitioner in time after completion of allotted work to his agency; together with interest.

2. At the outset itself, learned counsel for the petitioner accepts the statement made in paragraph-5 of the counter affidavit to the effect that an amount of Rs. 2,05,708/- has been paid by Cheque No. 868453 dated 12.09.2013 drawn on State Bank of India, Katihar. It is however stated that no interest has been paid for the belated payment.
3. Learned counsel for the respondents appears and has been heard.
4. Having heard the parties and on consideration of the materials on record, the writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned authority with a representation for payment of interest. If any such representation is filed within a period of two weeks, the same shall be decided by the concerned authority in accordance with law expeditiously. (Vikash Jain, J) Md.
