Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide Annexure-P/3, the grievances of the petitioner to extent of relief sought in paragraph-1 (i) has already been redressed during pendency of this case and with regard to Paragraph-1(ii) the authorities may be directed to take final decision with regard to entitlement of arrears of salary, on the basis of revised pay-scale, from March 1989 to 31.01.2023 till the date of superannuation.

3. Learned counsel representing University submits that the petitioner may be directed to file representation with supportive materials, so that final decision can be passed.

It goes without saying that on submission of representation, if it is found that the petitioner is entitled, then necessary order shall be passed and communicated to the person concerned, so that the grievances of the petitioner, who has already superannuated, can be redressed in the prescribed time limit.

5. Considering the aforesaid, petitioner is directed to file detailed representation with regard to relief no. 1(ii) for payment of arrears of salary, under the revised pay-scale, with supportive materials within a period of four weeks from today.

6. It is made clear that on submission of such representation, the Registrar, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga, respondent no. 6, shall take final decision within a further period of six weeks and if petitioner's claim is found to be justified, then benefits, which accrues on account of such decision, shall also be extended to him within the same time.

7. Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands disposed of.
