ANJANA PRAKASH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 25-08-2015 The petitioner seeks quashing of the order of cognizance dated 14.08.2007 passed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bhojpur (Ara) in Ara Town P.S. Case No. 437 of 2004.

The case of the informant is that on 01.11.2004 one Sunil Pandey, the MLA along with three other associates entered the official chamber of the Jailor of Ara Jail who was the petitioner and started to intimidate in various manners. They also showed disrespect to him by addressing his religious name.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that cognizance has only been taken under Section 504 I.P.C and therefore

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.35233 of 2012 dt.25-08-2015 2/2 the case should be quashed.

Considering the nature of allegations, I do not find any justification for interference. The same stands dismissed with direction to the Court below to proceed expeditiously in accordance with law.
