Patna High Court CWJC No.6899 of 2025(2) dt.09-10-2025 2/3 ORAL ORDER 09-10-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the State and learned counsel for the University.

The petitioners have filed the instant writ petition for the following relief:- "i) For directing the respondent authorities to pay part payment of gratuity to the petitioners on the ground that the petitioners have not been paid full gratuity amount which comes to the tune of RS. 20 lakhs by the respondent university, amount under the head of gratuity which has been paid to the petitioners is very low amount i.e. old gratuity amount whereas the petitioners are entitle for payment of Rs. 20 lakhs under this head.

ii) For the directing respondent authorities to pay to the petitioners the amount under the head of earned leave on the ground that only part payment of earned leave has been paid to the petitioners.

iii) For directing the respondent authorities to pay 9% interest on admitted due on the ground that the petitioners are entitle of the same.

iv) For all consequential reliefs to which the petitioner is found entitled in course of hearing of this writ application."

3. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submit that despite representation in this regard having been

Patna High Court CWJC No.6899 of 2025(2) dt.09-10-2025 3/3 filed for redressal of their grievances, which is sought in the writ petition by way of relief no.- 1, the necessary orders have not been passed by the authorities of the University and further prays that appropriate direction may be issued to decide the claim of the petitioners, which is enumerated in the writ petition.

On the other hand, learned counsel representing University submits that petitioners may be directed to file appropriate representation with supportive documents, so that the grievances raised in relief no-1 of the writ petition can be adjudicated by the authorities concerned and necessary order, which is to be passed, shall also be communicated to the petitioners within the prescribed period.

5. Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to decide the representation of the petitioner, on submission of the said representation within a period of four weeks, and necessary order shall be passed within a further period of eight weeks from the date of representation and communicate to the petitioner within the same time.
