1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(I) For issuance of appropriate writ/writs in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of notional promotion with all consequential benefits to the post of veterinary supervisor and subsequent promotion to the post of Assistant Fodder Development Officer which has been arbitrarily denied to him.

(II) For direction/ directions to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of promotion in view of the decision taken by respondent no. 2 vide letter no. 6942 dated

Patna High Court CWJC No.16730 of 2015(2) dt.14-09-2023 2/2 24.11.1995 even after communication of the same to the concerned officials by respondent no.4 vide letter no. 1513.

(III) For direction to the respondent to pay the petitioner difference of arrears of salary on account of aforesaid promotion along with interest."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
