JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 21-01-2015 The matter relates to appointment on the post of Secretary in Gram Kutcheri for which an advertisement was issued in 2007. The prayer of the petitioner in the present application is to issue a direction to the respondents to call the petitioner for counselling for appointment against the said post. The contention is that the last date for submission of the application, according to the advertisement, was 25th August, 2007 and the petitioner had sent her application through post on 24th August, 2007 and, hence, she is entitled to be called for counselling for appointment against the post in question.

Learned counsel for the State has submitted that the application of the petitioner did not reach in time and, thus, she

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I find no merit in the present application. Moreover, the matter relates to appointment pursuant to an advertisement made in 2007. Admittedly, counselling was done about eight years ago and, hence, the matter has already become infructuous. In that view of the matter, I am not inclined to entertain the present application.
