Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Brahmpur (Chakki) PS Case No. 62/2020 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 25 (1-b) a, 26, 35 of the Arms Act.
The allegation against the petitioner, as per First Information Report, is that the police recovered one loaded pistol from right pocket and a live cartridge from the left pocket of the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not committed any offence in the manner alleged and he is in custody since 07.02.2020.

No.26598 of 2020(3) dt.14-10-2020 2/2 Having regard to the submissions made by the parties and taking into consideration the material on record and the fact that the petitioner has got criminal antecedents, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. However, petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after six months from today, if the trial does not show any progress.
