JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 09-11-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner seeks direction to the District Magistrate, Buxar for making necessary entry with regard to the change of his residence in his arms licence.
It is contended that the arms licence was granted to the petitioner for N.P. Bore rifle while he was working in Jamtara. However, after his retirement after attaining the age of superannuation he has shifted to Buxar which is his native place and had approached on 12.01.2015 for making necessary entry in the arms licence in terms of Rule 62 sub-Clause (3) of the Arms Rule 1962 read with instruction dated 09.04.2013 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, as contained in
Patna High Court CWJC No.17200 of 2015 (2) dt.09-11-2015 2 / 2 Annexure 3, however, no decision has been taken by the licensing authority as yet.
Accordingly, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Buxar to take a decision in this regard within six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
