The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ order/orders, direction to the respondent authority to pay compensation to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.5 Lakhs for illegal act of the respondent authority by which the truck of the petitioner was seized on 18.11.2022 and release the same on 30.11.2022 due to which petitioner was facing heavy financial loss and mental torture while the petitioner had valid paper and or pass such any other order/orders as this

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, including that of filing a suit before the learned civil court of competent jurisdiction. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
