2. A prayer for bail has been made on behalf of the petitioners registered for the offence punishable under Sections
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23387 of 2025(4) dt.25-07-2025 2/3 308(5) and 111(1) of B.N.S.
3. The allegation in the F.I.R is that one Shankar Yadav demanded ransom of Rs. 50 lakhs from mobile no. 9910114969 and had threatened of dire consequences.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that it would be clear from reading of the F.I.R itself that specific allegation is against Shankar Yadav who demanded ransom from his mobile. The name of the petitioner Ajeet Kumar in Cr. Misc. No. 23387 of 2025 has transpired during course of investigation on the confessional statement of co-accused Santosh Choudhary made before police and except this, no material has come to connect this petitioner in the alleged offence. As a matter of fact, this petitioner happens to be the relative of accused Sankar Yadav and used to frequently visit his house. The petitioner is in custody since 25.12.2024 and undertakes to co-operate in case/trial.
5. So far as petitioner Gurumukh Kumar Singh in Cr. Misc. No. 23744 of 2025 is concerned, his name has also transpired in the confessional statement of co-accused Sonelal Sahni, who was arrested from the house of accused Sankar Yadav, and has already been granted privilege of regular bail by co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 20.05.2025
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23387 of 2025(4) dt.25-07-2025 3/3 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 31130 of 2025. He further submits that no incriminating articles has been recovered from his possession. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 24.12.2024. He undertakes to co-operate in case/trial.
5. Learned APP appearing for the state has opposed the prayer of regular bail.

Considering the fact that other co-accused persons who have been arrested from the house of accused Sankar Yadav have already been granted bail and the petitioners have no criminal antecedent, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. The above named petitioners are directed to be released on bail in connection with Salmari P.S. Case No. 102 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katihar/Successor Court.
