The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406/420/467/468/471/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner and one Manoranjan Kumar stating that a cheque had been issued for an amount of rupees two lakhs and twenty-three thousand which was subsequently converted into rupees twelve lakhs and twenty-three thousand by manipulation in the concerned cheque. It is further submitted that the concerned Manoranjan Kumar who has drawn the cheque purported to have been issued under the signature of the present petitioner and the Secretary of the Non-Governmental Organization has since been extended the privilege of anticipatory
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.32335 of 2016 (3) dt.16-12-2016 P2/2 bail by a Bench of this Court in Cr. Misc. No. 33100 of 2016 vide order dated 16.11.2016.
In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances and that the whole allegation revolves around the interpolation of the cheque which is itself a disputed issue, let the petitioner abovenamed, in the event of his arrest / surrender within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Samastipur in connection with Samastipur (Town) P.S. Case No. 70 of 2016 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr. P.C.
