2. The petitioners seek bail in connection with Lokaha P.S. Case No. 01 of 2025 dated 12.01.2025 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 103, 80, 3(5) of the B.N.S.S. and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. The allegation against the husband of the deceased and his other family members, is that they used to pressurize and assault the daughter of the informant for the demand of dowry. On the date of occurrence, the informant came to know that his daughter has been killed and when he reached at his daughter's matrimonial house, he saw that dead body of his daughter was
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24461 of 2025(2) dt.30-04-2025 2/3 lying in the room and his son-in-law and his elder brother were not present there and on enquiry both the petitioners tried to misguide the informant.
4. Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and have been falsely implicated in this case. It is submitted that the petitioner no. 1 is the mother-in-law of the deceased and the petitioner no. 2 is sister-in-law (wife of elder brother of husband of the deceased) of the deceased. It is submitted that from the perusal of the F.I.R., it appears that marriage of the daughter of the informant was solemnized nine years ago, therefore, Section 80 of the B.N.S. will not be applicable in this case. It is also submitted that there is no specific allegation against the petitioners. It is also submitted that petitioner no. 2 is one of the daughter-in-law of petitioner no. 1. It is further submitted that petitioners were residing separately from the deceased after marriage of daughter of the informant with son of petitioner no. 1. The petitioners are in custody since 12.01.2025, having no criminal antecedent and charge-sheet has been submitted in the case.
5. Learned A.P.P for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioners.
6. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the

No.24461 of 2025(2) dt.30-04-2025 3/3 case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Supaul in connection with Lokaha P.S.
