JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 2 26-08-2020 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. The petitioner is in custody in connection with Hajipur Town P.S. Case No. 1052 of 2019 for the offences under Sections 395 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 03.03.2020.

Considering the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, the Court is not inclined to grant bail to him. The application is dismissed.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of six months. In the event the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
