As prayed, South Bihar Power Distribution Company, Limited ( for short 'the Company') through the Managing Director, Patna is permitted to be impleaded as respondent no.5.
Mr. Akhileshwar Singh appearing for the respondent no.5 states that if the petitioners make an application
Patna High Court CWJC No.14956 of 2013 (3) dt.26-04-2016 2/2 for grant of ex gratia payment before the competent authority, the same shall be considered in accordance with the circulatory provisions of the erstwhile Board (now Power Holding Company) and shall be disposed of in accordance with law. The writ application stands disposed of permitting the petitioners to approach the competent/appropriate authority of the respondent -Company for payment of ex gratia amount on account of having suffered death of wife of petitioner no.1 due to electrocution for which an FIR was lodged and post mortem of the dead body was also conducted. If any such application is filed, the respondent-Company shall examine the same and pay the adequate amount by way of ex gratia /compensation as per the circulatory provision as quickly as possible preferably within 08 weeks from the date of filing of the application.
