2. The petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Jantabazar P.S. Case No. 172 of 2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 307, 384, 385, 504,506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. As per allegation, while the rural road construction work was going on, 12 accused persons came on four motorcycle and asked for the contractor Mukesh Kumar Singh and also threatened of dire consequences, if ransom is not paid. In course of occurrence, firing was also made.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. No one has suffered any kind of injury and except the criminal antecedent, there is nothing against the petitioner. He has submitted further that co-accused was granted bail by the learned court below but bail application of this petitioner was

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.27680 of 2024(3) dt.31-07-2024 2/2 rejected merely on the basis of his criminal antecedent. As a matter of fact, the petitioner is involved in politics and his rivals have implicated him in false case. The petitioner is under custody since 16.01.2024.

5. On the other hand, the learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the above-mentioned facts and circumstances, let the petitioner above-named be released on bail after framing of the charges on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand rupees) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate-Ist Class, Saran at Chapra in connection with Jantabazar P.S. Case No. 172 of 2023, subject to the following conditions:- (i) The petitioner shall cooperate in the disposal of trial and make himself available as and when required by the court.
