ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 19-06-2025 Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, having regard to the fact that the petitioner is only challenging the notice issued under Section 7 of the Bihar and Orissa Public Demand Recovery Act, 1914. The present writ petition is disposed of with the consent of both the counsels. The petitioner is directed to file his objections under Section 9 of the Act within a period of four weeks from today. On such objections being filed, the authority duly taking into

Patna High Court CWJC No. 7810 of 2025(2) dt.19-06-2025 2/2 consideration the objections filed and pass a reasoned order under Section 10 of the Act. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. It is needless to mention that before passing any order, the petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the parties. Till such time the final orders are passed under Section 10 of the Act, no coercive steps are to be taken against the petitioner. In case the petitioner does not file his objections or does not cooperate for the disposal of the case, the authorities are free to take necessary action strictly in accordance with law.
