2. The grievance of the petitioner is in limited bound to the extent of disposal of his application for compassionate appointment which is pending for consideration since long.

3. Learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that

Patna High Court CWJC No.10010 of 2019(2) dt.18-06-2025 2/3 the father of the petitioner died in harness while working as a Government servant holding the post of Headmaster in Primary School, Nala Road, Bankipur, Patna long back on 31.01.2015. On account of sudden and unfortunate demise of the father, the petitioner immediately filed application for his compassionate appointment alongwith all the necessary documents, the copy of which is marked as Annexure 2 to the writ petition. Notwithstanding the aforesaid fact, when nothing was done, the petitioner was compelled to approach this Court by invoking the jurisdiction of this Court.

Mr. Amit Narayan, learned Advocate for the petitioner taking this Court through the averments made in the writ petition has contended that apart from the aforesaid fact the matter is kept pending since 2019, till date neither any counter affidavit has been filed nor as per his instruction the claim of the petitioner has been considered and disposed off.

5. Learned Advocate for the State prays for a short adjournment as till date, no instruction has been received.

6. It is a very sorry state of affairs that the matter is pending since 2019 and till date, there is no response in the writ petition.

7. Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.10010 of 2019(2) dt.18-06-2025 3/3 instead of keeping the matter pending, this Court deems it apt and proper to dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, who also heads the District Compassionate Committee, to consider the claim of the petitioner, preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order and bring it to logical conclusion, if the same has not been done till date.

8. The writ petition stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
