The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case under Section 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The petitioners are mother-in-law and sister-in-law of the deceased. The deceased herself made her statement disclosing that her mother-in-law, sister-in-law and nephew of her husband, Laxman Kumar set her ablaze after pouring kerosene oil. She also disclosed that while her husband was on duty Laxman Kumar earlier made attempt to outrage her modesty.
It is submitted that petitioners are old mother-in-law and widow sister-in-law and they brought the deceased to hospital for treatment but in view of the statement of the informant who later succumbed to burn injuries and it appears that she made very specific allegation against the petitioners that they set her ablaze, I
