JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 11-07-2023 Heard Mr. Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Mr. Ravi Ranjan, learned AC to SC-22 appearing on behalf of the State and Mr. Shailok Kumar, learned SC-33 appearing on behalf of the L.M.N.U.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has confined his prayer, after having record as per instruction from the petitioner, only for payment of interest on account of delay in making payment of retiral benefit till the date of payment and the petitioner seeks to file a detailed representation before the Vice Chancellor/Registrar, L.N.M.U.,

Patna High Court CWJC No.20921 of 2014 dt.11-07-2023 2/2 Kameshwar Nagar, Darbhanga. Learned counsel further informed that petitioner is aged about 95 years and has become infirm, therefore, urgent steps are required for payment.

3. The Vice Chancellor of the University must ensure to decide the claim of the petitioner with respect to payment of admissible dues and interest on account of delay in payment within a period of four weeks and ensure that dues and interests are credited into the account of the petitioner in accordance with law within a further period of two weeks.

4. The Vice Chancellor must ensure to entrust a responsible officer to visit the petitioner at his house in case any formality paraphernalia is required on the address mentioned in the writ petition.

5. With the above observations and directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
