2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Yogapatti PS Case No.206 of 2024 dated 17.06.2024, instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 306,201, 120-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, the police got information that a lady has committed suicide after the quarrel with the relatives and her dead body is hidden in the house. The police visited the house and recovered the dead body.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the father-in-law of the deceased and he is living separately having no role in the suicide of the deceased. It is
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.26351 of 2025(2) dt.05-05-2025 2/2 further submitted that the FIR has been lodged by the local chaukidaar of the village. It is also submitted that the husband of the deceased is absconding. Further submission is that the mother-in-law of the deceased has been granted bail by a coordinate Bench of this Court by order dated 03.12.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No.82701 of 2024. Charge-sheet has been submitted. Lastly, it is submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 24.12.2024 and one criminal case is pending against the petitioner.
5. Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail.
6. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran, in Yogapatti PS Case No.206 of 2024.
7. The application stands allowed.
