2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with NCB P.S. Case No. 14 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 8©, 20(b), (ii)©, 25, 29 of NDPS Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the recovery is of 544 Kg of Ganja.

4. The petitioner is in custody since 4.11.2023 and in the trial, out of 9 witnesses, four witnesses have already been examined in the trial.

5. Considering the quantum of recovery and the fact that the trial is progressing, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

7. The prosecution is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner failing which the concerned I.O. will appear in this Court.

8. It is, however, clarified that the observations made herein are limited to the adjudication of the present bail application and shall not prejudice the case of the petitioner at any subsequent stage of the trial and this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
