Petitioner claims that his father had a valid license of double barrel breach loading gun. After the death of his father, the petitioner claims to have deposited the said gun in Hindustan Arms shop and, thereafter, had applied for grant of license in the year 2007 itself. However, no final decision has been taken by the Licensing Authority even though about eight years have lapsed since then.

Having regard to the aforementioned facts and circumstances, this writ application is disposed of directing the District Magistrate, Sasaram, Rohtas to take a decision upon the

Patna High Court CWJC No.19470 of 2011 (2) dt.03-08-2015 2/2 application of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if the same has already not been done by him. (Dr. Ravi Ranjan, J) N.H./- U
