1. The petitioner has filed the instant application for the following reliefs:
"1. That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Mandamus and/or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding upon the respondents Board to make correction in the date of appointment of the petitioner as 21.12.1983 which has been incorrectly recorded as 4.4.1989 to treat the petitioner as senior most lecturer of the College and direct the respondent nos. 2 to 5 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation submitted to them in this regard and further to approve the petitioner as In-

2. After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this application.
