This is an appeal under Section 14(A)(2) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 against the refusal of prayer for anticipatory bail by the learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge, Ara, in connection with Ara Mahila Police Station Case No.137 of 2017 registered under Sections 354B/506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3(1)(v)(r)/sw(i)/3(2)(va) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
Considering the nature of allegation in the FIR as well as the fact that the informant cannot be disbelieved at this stage, I am not inclined to enlarge the appellant on anticipatory bail. Hence, prayer for anticipatory bail is refused.
